Leicester 3-45 Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 16f
FAY CE QUE VOUDRAS (nap) stayed on well to score at Hereford just over a fortnight ago, and gave the impression that today's stiffer/galloping track will play even more to her strengths.
Indeed, the selection went well at Uttoxeter on her previous outing, and on soft ground too, which suggests that today's conditions should be just about perfect.
A 5-2 shot with bet365 at the time of writing, those odds or bigger should be taken.
Dundalk 2-17 Maiden 11f
TWENTYNINE PALMS finished to good effect in a one mile maiden contest at this venue three weeks ago, which suggests that she will be suited by today's step up to ten furlongs. Posting a top figure of 61 on that occasion, the filly also has scope enough to run faster still, while her pencilled in odds of 9-2 can be considered fair.
Dundalk 2-52 Maiden 11f
BANNED finished a close up fourth over this track and trip latest, and might have won that day had the pace of the race been stronger. An 80 performer when chasing home Make Us Proud over 12 furlongs at this venue on her previous outing, the filly has more than enough power under the bonnet to win a race of this nature, but will probably need everything to fall right.
Dundalk 5-12 Handicap 6f
IG ZAG ZYGGY has been knocking at the door at this venue of late, and has also been posting some speed ratings of note. Top on the master speed list with a figure of 75, the gelding must have every chance of getting back to winning ways here, while his pencilled in odds of 7-2 make some appeal in a race that lacks strength in depth.
Exeter 4-30 Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 23f
SACRE COEUR (nb) rates top on the clock for this ten-runner handicap hurdle, courtesy of her narrow victory at Haydock at the end of December. Lightly raced of late, the mare is primed to take another step forward this afternoon, and against similar class rivals that should see her record a follow up win. Early bird odds of 4-1 are another reason to look to get involved.
Leicester 2-35 Novices Hurdle (Class 3) 20f
AMERICAN SNIPER posted a top figure of 92 when just losing out to Forever William at Taunton three weeks ago, and only needs to repeat that effort in today's same class contest in order to go one place better. Granted, this stiff track and extra yardage is likely to stretch the selection's stamina to the max, but he can still be fancied to prevail in a race that doesn't look all that strong.
