If you think it was uncalled for, then you've taken it wrong.
I got myself in a muddle, for want of a better phrase trying, to catch the best prices amongst the different sites.
I made a bollox placing my bets. I need a better, more organised way of doing it. I probably try to hard to get the very best price, resulting in me making mistakes
Working nights it was easier thro the night. I realise these come in a morning...no probs.
Darkhorse; another one wins at a bigger price, your post was uncalled for.
Bloody typical, I missed out on the first winner (ha ha) But greatly appreciated
well im happy with the first win, thanks for the info
I think I said ask me again at the end of the day ha ha
No I appreciate the insight. And I am betting ew as they do. I am used to following your way tho...to win.
And like I've said before. The best way of watching and learning is being part of it
Raven's Past wins at a bigger past than we took this morning, what was that you were saying Darkhorse lol.
Darkhorse if you don’t enjoy it don’t do it, it’s just an insight into how a big punter goes about his business and gives those the chance who want to learn from, I know I have. As you say it’s no surprise that the price goes when you follow him in, in fact anything of a price I would say is certain to reduce. But you already realised that or should have and so surely it’s pointless to moan about it when the inevitable happens.
I can see that publishing his stakes was a mistake it was never meant to influence anyone, plus we don’t know if there his full stakes it’s just factual reporting of the actions of one person who works for him. In fact I was out with him this morning and two of the bets he was offered win only, it was the first time it’s happened to him.
I don’t advise anyone to back these selections I never meant to give that impression; we don’t know how long it will last, the man’s at Aintree next week so that’s doubtful and then on holiday the week after.
The glimpse I had of the text conversation when bets could not be placed gave the impression he couldn’t have cared less he was probably working today just to give his men a day’s wage.
Hawk; I noticed that, he did the same last week, targeted a favourite he deemed vulnerable.
Yes I understand that.
I'm just careful and it's a new tactic for me lol.
And I'm used to putting it on night before and using odds checker getting best odds possible. Watching them move while placing bet put me in panic mode.
Thing is at such large stakes, it obviously works for them, so I'm gonna stick with it, if we get the chance
I am no professional but the horse at Fakenham perhaps no surprise there's been some money for that as the trainer is in form, does extremely well at the track and the lad riding looks well worth his claim which has recently gone down from 7lb to 5lb.
It may not be everyone's cup of tea to bet each way with only the prospect of getting your money back for finishing second or third but you have to remember he is betting in hefty stakes and he is trying to protect his wager.
The races he is targeting suggests he thinks the favourite could be vulnerable but with his selection/s a strong likelihood of being placed
No I didn't enjoy that.
a) struggled to get the prices quoted which is understandable
b) Watching prices tumble from 15/1 to 10/1 before you put the bet on.
c) backing ANY shortish price ew goes against the grain but 5/1 :(
d) because of price drop I ended up putting on everything from 7.50ew to £30ew
I suppose I need to get a little better organused
But ask me tonight after I'm counting my winnings or licking my wounds ha ha
