Our Divine Spear runs in the Topham 4:05 Aintree today, he’s been under the weather this year but Nicky reports him back to his best. Whether his best will be good enough is the question. He’s been dumped by his usual jockey and the third string of the stable and is presently trading at 81/1 (I’ve just taken it) on Betfair, with the bookies he’s 50/1 from 33/1
On the upside we always thought he’d handle the GN fences and they could be his forte.
He prefers to make the running but there’s a lot of pace in race and he tends to sulk if he’s doesn’t get his own way.
I think at the price there's enough value to warrant small bet.
Good luck, here’s what MPR have to say:-
Dear Divine Spear Owner,
He runs today at Aintree over the world famous National fences, his schooling over these has been excellent at home and Mr. Henderson is very happy with what he was seeing over these in Lambourn.
It’s probably fair to say that we haven’t had the perfect season and therefore come here not really knowing what to expect. Things we do know though, other than him liking the fences at home, it’s the first time this recently he’s done back to back to back pieces of work that were of his usual quality, I feel the trip is about right for him and the rain softened ground I think suits him.
There does seem to be a whole heap of pace on today so we might adopt slightly more restraint tactics than making all but of course we’re more going to be guided by getting the horse travelling, jumping and happy as I feel this is the main aim today. If he jumps James to the lead, so be it, if James is happy sitting off the pace and getting him popping, so be it. Lets aim to get him round, get him enjoying himself and if we are fortunate to pick up some prize money, that would be the icing on the cake.
Mr. Hendersons view is the same as mine above however, he did say that from bottom weight, if we jump and travel a sneaky bigger place (6th or so) may not be too farfetched.
Yes it’s an option in settings, according to their website it enables it to work in heavily restricted areas such as arab countries and china, it is easy to find but of course I can’t test from the uk.
Horse ok, thanks Hawk.
Christine I tried a few bookies using nordvpn 365 wh didn't work but I could login to betvictor lads and betfred, see if it works for you and don't forget to enable Obfuscated Servers, let me know how you go on.
Hope your horse is none of the worse for the fall thats the main thing and that you enjoyed your day.
Chris, if you still have a uk mobile phone contract, I remember watching a programme where somebody suggested turning on your mobiles hotspot and apparently they claimed it tricks the phone into thinking your still in the uk, no idea if this works sounds a bit unlikely and daft to me but the bloke was convincing that he could place bets this way so might be worth a try.
I live in Turkey yes I’ve been looking at nordvpn, I think you can get 30 days free. I’m going to try it out
Really???
I was thinking of using vpn along with a relatives bank details, with their permission of course, in the hope they didn't know it was me.
Thanks for the info but unfortunatly I can’t bet anymore as it’s illegal in turke, but I’m looking into getting a VPN that works over here
Small bet placed.
Thanks for the info.
