An awesome 33/1 winner yesterday 😎
Elsewhere we had two second places (including the forecast for the above race) and two disappointing runs.
In my last update post I talked (a lot) about the neural network AI system I had put together and how it was only mere steps away from actually becoming sentient. Well you'll be glad to hear that development on that front has hit an absolute dead end. I cannot progress this any further without a lot more processing power and a lot more knowing how to actually code instead of relying on an AI chat bot to write the code for me. So it seems judgement day has been postponed... for now... 😂
In it's current form what I have built is a highly effective and comprehensive data analysis tool that is excellent at identifying profitable datasets and trends and will be a huge time saver. The next step in the development was to enable it to 'stack' the profitable data points and devise selection methods but the coding needed to give it this kind of intelligence is so far beyond me and Sam Altman won't return any of my phone calls so I'm all out of options.
At this stage with the set-up the compiling of the speed ratings and updating of the database is largely automated which at this time last year was a pipe dream. However the job of actually building the systems is still a manual task although it is made much easier with the help of the neural network tool. The analysis time this tool has and will save me is immense allowing me to focus my attention fully on system design and build.
After the whirlwind of a year 2023 has been it has been my intention for months to have everything ready by 1st January for a massive 2024 campaign. Unfortunately my side track into the world of AI months ago has put my schedule into a totally unrecoverable position. I have many systems I still need to rebuild which takes time even with the help of the neural network tool. Being so far behind where I wanted to be has been a source of much stress over the festive break.
However I do have my standard core systems for the all weather fully rebuilt tested and ready to go live. These systems are not new per se, more like rebuilt highly tuned versions of the older systems that drill even deeper down into the absolute specifics to find a workable angle into the race. Somedays like yesterday it works spectacularly well, other days not so much but it's the P&L and ROI at the end of the season that matters and it definately delivers on that front.
The rest of the systems are all more localised and niche focusing on a specific dataset(s) and will follow in due course as and when I get them built and tested. Anyway I think that is everyone up to date with everything. I will get a post up before year end with full details for the 2024 campaign. In the meantime here are some selections for Wolverhampton today.
16.15 - Swinging Eddie @ 5/1
16.45 - Verdansk @ short price!
19.15 - Taxiing @ 7/1
18.15 - There are a few horses I like in this race but the competition is strong. If Wee Fat Mac withdraws which I think he might but that said Jardine drives this horse hard. Anyway if he does then I might consider a bet on Nelson Gay. However both Ramon Di Loria and Twilight Fun both look like strong e/w bets. We will look at this one again in the morning once the withdrawls are processed and see where we stand.
Thanks,
Darth Niloc
Wee Fat Mac is a non runner as suspected in the 18.15. Nelson Gay is now 3/1 market leader (from 7/1) and the other two runners are both below the e/w price threshold. In hindsight I should have took the chance on Wee Fat Mac being withdrawn and took the prices available last night. I will likely just spectate this one now.
