A decent day yesterday. Our top best bet of the day was given a terrible ride from Kevin Stott who left it far too late and could only manage disappointing 3rd. Our dutch bet worked out fine and our other best bet picked up the win for a small profit including a small return on the place accumulator. All in just over 2pts profit for the day.
Looking ahead slim pickings for today. I have reviewed the ratings twice and can find nothing to recommend. No Such Luck in the 18.00 Wolverhampton did initially make the shortlist but I had doubts on closer inspection so decided to walk away. Nothing in SA or the USA either.
I like to think of myself as a flat racing specialist. Sprints up to and including the mile are what I enjoy the most and what I am best at. I don't avoid jump racing altogether. I treat it the same way I do the American and South African races. I maintain a set of ratings, shortlist the horses that have a clear advantage and if the profile fits I back them with my usual win and place market strategy.
Over time they have proven to be profitable but also prone to a bad run now and again that sets us back. Since I am sharing everything else I figured I may as well share the best of these also. Staking should be adjusted accordingly.
UK Jumps - Catterick & Plumpton (listed in order of preference)
13.30 Plumpton - Shot Boii @ 2.50
14.45 Catterick - American Gerry @ 4.00
Nice one D keep them coming, good that you mention the bad runs.
