Three all weather meetings today so had a busy evening with lots of races to analyze. I have found three top rated selections at a reasonable price and several other horses of interest. My best bet of the day is Desert Boots in the 16.55 at Southwell. Granted he hasn't won in a while but he ran a decent 3rd LTO and is back to a winnable mark. Although he prefers the 6F trip, I don't think the extra furlong here will be an issue. The expected pace should suit his running style and the widest draw isn't a problem at Southwell. Still has some yellow flags of concern but value at this price and I expect him to go well here. A close second is Persian Wolf in the 17.15 at Chelmsford. Disappointing recently but the trip on each occasion was too long. Enjoys the 10F trip best and won here eight weeks ago at this distance and class. Favourable draw in stall 5 and his hold up style works well at Chelmsford. Value bet. Third best bet of the day is Indiana Grey in the 19.00 at Dundalk. I can easily write off 8 of the 11 runners here and of the remaining 3, Indiana Grey has far fewer yellow flags than the rest. Was unsure if I should include him as one of my best bets at this price but I don't see many ways in which he doesn't win this race so surely still a value bet at 2/1? 1st Best Bet - 16.55 Southwell - Desert Boots @ 6.00 2nd Best Bet - 17.15 Chelmsford - Persian Wolf @ 5.00 3rd Best Bet - 19.00 Dundalk – Indiana Grey @ 3.00 Other top rated horses of interest who I expect to go well; Southwell 13.40 - Wee Fat Mac @ 7.00 14.40 - Funky Town Pinkie @ 13.00 (E/W) 16.20 - Coaxing @ 6.00 17.25 - Em Jay Kay @ 6.00 Coaxing and Wee Fat Mac both look to be strong selections and should go well. Although not top rated but another horse of interest I found at a decent price is; 15.45 - Three Dons @ 9.00 (E/W) Chelmsford City 18.45 - Erosion Risk @ 3.25 (price too short?) Same as above although not top rated but horses of interest I found who should go well; 17.45 - Foinix @ 7.00 19.15 – Smooth Red @ 4.50 Dundalk No top rated selections for Dundalk but three horses of interest I found who again should go well; 15.55 – Firstman @ 4.50
